Optimise visibility
Your e-bike is a wonderful investment that brings you plenty of joy. You are not alone in this. However, not all e-bikes are the same. In addition to the obvious differences such as battery performance, gears or suspension, the lights are often not examined in detail. It usually comes standard with a front and rear light, but good lighting is essential for your safety on the road. Good to see and being clearly visible helps prevent accidents, so it’s worth considering whether an upgrade to your lighting is a smart move.
Which light is right for me and my E-bike?
The best lighting for you depends on where you ride. If you live in an urban area with plenty of ambient light, a front light of around 60 lux is often sufficient. However, if you ride in quieter areas or on darker roads, opting for a lamp with higher brightness is advisable. This way, you’ll see the road better and be noticed from a greater distance by other road users.
Our front lights always indicate their lux rating. Lux is a measure of illuminance — it shows how much light falls on a specific surface. The higher the lux, the brighter the light and the better your visibility.
Additional functions
Additional functions such as daytime running lights or high beams can further increase safety and comfort. Lamps with daytime running light function have additional LEDs to make them more visible even in bright conditions. The high beam works similarly to a car's high beam. This feature provides particularly strong, long-range light that you can conveniently switch on and off using a button on the handlebars.

What about the rear light?
You can also upgrade your rear light if it does not yet have a brake or emergency brake function. These functions make the rear light shine significantly brighter when braking or even flash during emergency braking. This allows other road users to see immediately that you are braking – significantly safer and highly recommended!
